Staying in the present moment

Being present isn’t about trying to fix intrusive thoughts or expecting them not to show up. Instead, it’s about letting them be there without responding to them, and shifting your attention back to what you were doing — even when the thought feel unfinished or unresolved, and the urge to analyse what ifs about the past or future is strong.

As you keep practising this, the easier it will become to stay in the present moment. Instead of giving your energy to analysing the thoughts, you’re letting them be there and moving forward despite them.
